This book was written solely to try to give a clearer picture of the way to obtain a Retirement Visa, for those wishing to retire there.
This is listed as revision 3, but I update it as new information is made available. The advantage of Kindle over printed books is that the latest update can always be re-downloaded.
It is written as a guide for those that have never visited Thailand; however it is also an invaluable reference book for the regular Thailand visitor, that has decided to jump in with both feet and make the next visit permanent! There is currently a plethora of misleading information available! (Hence the exorbitant fees charged by the Professional Visa companies.) The aim of this book is to enable ‘Anyone ‘to make their own arrangements with confidence, to achieve the ultimate objective of obtaining a Retirement Visa, as well as giving some of the alternatives. The book also gives information on related issues, such as a rough guide to property prices in Thailand, how to buy a Condominium, the procedure for buying a house, and the alternative of leasing. it even gives detailed steps for how to get a Thai Driving licence.

As another foreign retiree living in Thailand, it was interesting to learn about this book. Five years ago, I settled down in Bangkok to retire. Since then, I’ve travelled to many countries in Southeast Asia, and I still think that Thailand is the country where foreign retirees seem most happy. I find the country warm, cultural, fun, and I like everything that makes it feel like a little paradise.
